Observations from everyday life with dogs and reflections on development, trust, and change.
Some stories emerge very quietly.
Not because you decide to tell them – but because, at some point, you realize they are already there.
Over the years, our small pack has taken shape. With Clarence, Humphrey, and Archie, not only have three dogs become part of our lives, but also countless experiences, observations, and insights into dog behavior, trust-building, and emotional development.
Only with time did I begin to understand how much we can learn from dogs about personal growth. About trust that grows slowly. About insecurities that don’t have to disappear in order for a meaningful and stable life to still be possible. And about small steps that can lead to deep and lasting change.
In my work as a psychological counselor, I encounter these themes every day. People search for orientation, emotional safety, and ways to cope with challenges such as anxiety, trauma, or self-doubt. And surprisingly often, dogs show us how growth really happens: through connection, patience, consistency, and the experience that change is possible.
This blog is a space for stories from our pack – and for insights into the connection between dogs and human psychology.
For small, everyday moments with our dogs.
And for reflections on trust, resilience, self-efficacy, and healing.
Maybe it is a blog about dogs.
Maybe also about people.
And most likely, about both.
In the coming posts, I will begin to tell the story of our pack – starting with Clarence, and the role he plays in stability, leadership, and trust within the group.
